IRRIGATOR MADE OF CORRUGATED PVC SHEET FOR COOLING TOWERS
The irrigators made of corrugated PVC sheets of ÎÏ 5000 type are used in fan and chimney-type cooling towers and are designed for cooling of contaminated technological circulating water.
The installation of irrigator blocks in the cooling tower is made in one, two or three tiers, depending on the requirements for the cooling effect.
The irrigator block is a set of vacuum-molded corrugated sheets interconnected with connecting elements.

The cooled water is sprayed on top of the irrigator blocks and under the influence of gravity flows down as a film on the corrugated surface of the sheets.
The intense water cooling is ensured through flowing of water film downwards in the air counter flow.
The irrigators made of corrugated sheets provide the largest contact surface for heat exchange of water with air at aerodynamic resistance, which is weaker in comparison with the ones of irrigators of other types, thus the highest cooling effect of water is achieved.
Due to the vertical structure of channels, these irrigators are not vulnerable to biogrowth and carbonate deposits during operation.
The assembling of irrigator blocks is simple, convenient and takes little time, it is performed at the installation site. Transport costs are minimal (10-12 times less in comparison with the costs of other types of irrigators).
